You also interject a lot:

Me:  "Hey Louie, do you... "

Louie:  "Eh?"

Me:  "....want to...

Louie:  "Eh?"

Me:  "....go and get some...."

Louie:  "Eh?!?"

Me:  "....lemons from the tree?"

Louie:  ""LEEEMMMOOOOONS!"  *toddles off to pick lemons*
